EPP Transfer Protection
What's an EPP code? What's its function? How important is it as far as domain name transfers are concerned?
If you decide to transfer a domain from one domain registrar to another, you will have to go through a couple of safety procedures. One of them is getting a unique EPP authentication code from the current domain name registrar – provided that you are the registrant, since the code is emailed to the owner's email address and no one else can obtain it. You will need to give this code to the new domain registrar, otherwise they will not be able to start the domain transfer process. The EPP authentication codes are case-sensitive and may contain digits or special symbols such as commas or dots, which can be easily misentered, so make sure you copy and paste the correct code. As an additional safety measure, the transfer authorization code for a domain may be reset regularly. Some domain name registrars refer to this code as an Auth key, a domain secret or a domain password as well.

EPP Transfer Protection in Semi-dedicated Hosting
If you’d like to transfer any domain name that is registered under a
semi-dedicated server account to another domain name registrar, you can get its EPP transfer authorization code with several mouse clicks from your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. All registered domains will be displayed in a separate section of the Control Panel. Quick-access controls will permit you to use different features. To obtain the transfer code, you simply have to click on the EPP sign, which will be on the right-hand side of any domain name whose extension supports transfers with an authorization code. Our system will send the code to the registrant’s email address, which is presently listed in the domain’s WHOIS record. If needed, you can change this email address from the very same Control Panel section before requesting the transfer code. The change will take effect straight away, so you don’t need to wait for the new email address to appear on WHOIS lookup websites.
