A catch-all mailbox is one that collects all the messages sent to non-existent addresses. For example, if your email address is info@domain.com, but someone miswrites it and sends an email to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have configured. Just one single mailbox per domain can have this feature activated and in this way you’ll never miss messages because the other side has an out-of-date address or has made a spelling error. The disadvantage of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may start receiving a lot of unsolicited bulk messages, but this issue can be fixed by using anti-spam protection software. It is also crucial to remember that a mailbox with an activated catch-all feature cannot redirect inbound emails to a third-party email address.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
The in-house created Hepsia Control Panel that is included with each and every semi-dedicated server package that we offer will allow you to create a catch-all email mailbox effortlessly even if you don’t have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to do that is to click on the catch-all icon, which will be on the right side of each email address that you’ve created using your domain names in the hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Since you can have only one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will notify you if you have already created another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you would like to use has email forwarding enabled. In case you reach the decision that you do not want this feature any longer, you can turn it off by clicking again on the same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
